Seven Mile Beach, Gerroa

Gerroa Coastal Explorer

Seven Mile Beach National Park is a strip of lush coastal forest beside soft white sand. It’s home to a remarkable array of native flora and fauna, including kookaburras, white-breasted sea eagles and crimson rosellas.

The beach, as the name suggests, extends for seven miles, lapped by family-friendly waves that are great for learning to surf. This is where we established Land’s Edge Surf School, over 20 year ago – one of the most reputable surf schools on the Eastern Seaboard of Australia and the longest running in the Illawarra.

With Coastal Explorer, we are now also offering mountain biking sessions to complement our Gerroa surf school.

Through these immersive outdoor activities, you can explore this stretch of coastline with our experienced guides – picking up new skills, new knowledge and new memories from your time on the South Coast.

Our Activities

Based in the National Park at Seven Mile Beach, participants will experience the beauty of catching the gentle rolling waves or cycling the sandy single track through the lush coastal forest.

Below are a selection of activities we offer in Gerroa. We always want to be as flexible as possible, so speak to us  if you’d like to mix-and-match or tailor any of the experiences…

Land’s Edge Foundation is one of Australia’s leading not-for-profit organisers of outdoor education experiences for young people.
